Water Sustainability in Pima County (Club Events)
PANEL ON WATER SUSTAINABILITY IN PIMA COUNTY
On Monday, May 18, the Saguaro Eastside Democrats (SED) hosted a panel discussion on the recently completed Phase One of the joint County/City Water and Waste Water Study.
Panelists were to include the city/county coordinators on the Oversight Committee, Nicole Ewing Gavin, Assistant to City Manager, and Melaney Seacat, Senior Program Manager from Pima County’s Waste Water Department. Ms Gavin was unable to attend and Chris Avery filled in for her. Sean Sullivan, a member of the County/City Water Study Oversight Committee and Associate Director of the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection completed the panel.
The panelists provided an overview of the key findings of the study and discussed the status of the Phase II effort, including factors influencing water sustainability here in Pima County. A question and answer period from the audience followed.
